Announcing 26k of $CYBER Rewards for Mint Podcast Collectors

Last week I announced the launch of my master leaderboard powered by Stack.

Today I’m announcing the first reward in collaboration with Cyber, a long-time supporter of the Mint Podcast, who is back to celebrate their new Layer 2 launch on Optimism.

They’ve generously awarded us a 26k $CYBER grant, and here’s how I’m planning on giving it back to you:

13k $CYBER will be allocated to incentivize mints.
13k $CYBER will go directly to rewarding our dedicated supporters.

The goal here is to introduce you to another network on the Optimism Superchain.

Some of you may never have heard of Cyber, so this is their way of introducing themselves to the Mint audience.

Cyber is a Layer 2 blockchain specifically designed for social applications. Built on the Optimism Superchain, it combines high-performance infrastructure with specialized tools for social features to simplify developer workflows and accelerate their time to market.

Holding $CYBER will allow you to explore their ecosystem and try new things on the network.

So that’s why I’m not selling any of it and simply giving it away to you all through retroactive rewards and as an incentive for collecting my content.

They could’ve gone with any community, but they chose Mint for a reason because we’re chronically onchain, in the weeds always experimenting, and we appreciate an opportunity to be first to something new.

With that being said, the first rewards campaign starts today.

To kick off this collaboration, I’m distributing 4.5k of $CYBER.

There are 3,828 unique individuals who qualify for this phase of rewards. Snapshot was taken Friday, June 28, 2024.

So that means there’s 21.5k of $CYBER left in rewards to claim over the next two weeks.

Important: If you don't claim your rewards within two weeks of the campaign running, we will reallocate the unclaimed funds to further incentivize the collection of more content.

Cyber's New Vision

Cyber has been a key player in my creator journey, starting in September 2022 where they collected my Season 5 Sponsor Pass for $20k and helped bring 20 episodes to life.

Now, they’re taking a step with their new Layer 2 on Optimism which enables the creation of more engaging and meaningful web3 experiences by allowing onchain dapps to integrate social features, like discovery feeds, comments, friends lists, and more.

On Cyber, builders can:

Incorporate social features into existing web3 dapps.
Build better, decentralized versions of familiar web2 platforms like YouTube, Meta, and Twitter.
Create entirely new social apps with no equivalents in web2.

To celebrate, they’ve launched Round 2 of their Ecosystem Grants Program, which allocates 25k CYBER tokens to innovative projects building dapps and developer tooling on Cyber.
